Dense Media Separation or Heavy Medium Separation is a process used to separate diamonds and other minerals from diamond bearing material. Ferrosilicon is thus widely used in diamond and mineral processing plants for this purpose. This gravity separation method is very effective in initial separation stages, offering Diamond processing plants an effective and efficient separation technique to separate diamonds and minerals from the material they are covered in.

DMS Powders produces two types of Ferrosilicon products, each with different physical and behavioural attributes. Choose from the following Ferrosilicon products:

• Milled Ferrosilicon, which is angularly shaped and available in: 65D, 100D, 150D, 270D, 270F products.
• Atomised Ferrosilicon, which is more Spherical shaped and is available in Coarse, Fine, Cyclone 60, Cyclone 40, DMS 70 grades.
